Astilbe Burgundy Red - Bog Pond Plants - BP013A

Astilbe 'Burgundy Red', commonly known as false spirea, is a clump-forming perennial with finely divided, fern-like dark green foliage. In summer, it produces dense, feathery plumes of deep burgundy-red flowers held above the foliage, creating striking colour and texture in shaded garden areas.

The flowers attract bees and other pollinating insects, giving the plant ecological value. Its upright, compact habit and long-lasting flower plumes make it ideal for woodland borders, shaded mixed beds, and along water margins where it adds both colour and structure.
