Astilbe 'Red Baron', commonly known as false goat's beard, is a clump-forming perennial with finely divided, dark green fern-like foliage that creates a dense, upright mound. In summer, it produces tall, feathery plumes of vibrant red flowers that rise above the foliage, adding dramatic colour and vertical interest to shaded garden areas.
